The departure of center-back Fikayo Tomori to AC Milan on loan until the end of the season has been confirmed by Chelsea. This summer, Milan wanted a new center-back and had initially named Mohamed Simakan of Strasbourg as their preferred target, but ultimately set their sights on Tomori, who was eager to make the move.

In mid-January, the two clubs started talks and things progressed very quickly, and now Chelsea has announced on its official website that for the rest of the season they have sent Tomori over to San Siro.

As part of the deal, Milan is believed to have the option of permanently signing the 23-year-old next summer for a fee of about £ 25m.
