Early in the first half, Mohamed Salah opened the scoring for Liverpool from the spot, but, 18 minutes later, Gabriel Jesus equalized for Manchester City. Kevin De Bruyne shockingly missed a penalty toward the end of the first half.

“It was a tense game. In the first minutes of the match, we had a hard time because they had 4 players in attack. Between the lines, Mane and Salah played, but then we adapted and got more control.
Their game was unbelievable and our response to it. I’m very proud of my players.
