The signing of Luka Jovic by Real Madrid is reported of concern to Hertha Berlin. The striker, who had such a consecutive season in the Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt, has still not hit the same heights since moving to Spain. With the backing of major investor Lars Windhorst, Hertha aims to challenge the traditional top two of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.
To do so, they are looking to strengthen their playing roster drastically and Jovic is one of those that they could bring in, according to reports in Germany (via Marca). The international Serbian scored 27 goals for Frankfurt in the 2018/19 season and has a good reputation in Germany.
And he’s struggled to adapt to life at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium and has scarcely played under Zinedine Zidane this season.
Real Madrid will be open to offers for the forward this summer and a number of their other players.
