The Gazetta Dello Sport reports that Mario Mandzukic is of interest to Inter. The Croatian striker is currently a free agent and can negotiate with all interested clubs and Milan’s Inter is one of them, according to the Italians.
However, with Marotta leaving Juventus in December 2018 and Fabio Paratici taking over the role of sports director, the situation for the Croatian offensive player started to get complicated, after which he went to Qatar’s Al Duhail in December 2019.
He stayed there for only seven months but he decided to return to Europe as he was not satisfied with the quality of Qatari football.
Now, Inter is looking for him amongst others. There, they see him in the role of Romelu Lukaku’s deputy because, in tandem with Argentine Lautar Martinez, the Belgian striker is untouchable.
Mandzukic ‘s eventual departure to Inter was a disappointment for Juventus fans because he received great respect at Juventus from 2015 to 2019.
