According to a story in today’s Italian newspapers, Inter reported no additional COVID-19 cases during the club’s most recent round of testing.
According to Corriere Dello Sport, through FcInterNews.it, neither of the swabs taken yesterday yielded a positive result, bringing the total number of people infected at Inter to six.
Four Nerazzurri players contracted COVID-19 last week: Danilo D’Ambrosio, Samir Handanovic, Stefan de Vrij, and Matias Vecino, as well as two members of Inter’s ‘team party,’ considered to be members of Antonio Conte’s staff.
Despite the negative samples, Inter’s players must live in fiduciary confinement, except those who left for international duty earlier this week.
Conte’s team will return to play on April 3 against Bologna, and with the match only 10 days out, it is possible that the Inter manager will not have to contend with any COVID-19-enforced absences at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.
