Club captain Jordan Henderson regarded Virgil van Dijk as a “real champion” in Liverpool, with the Dutchman being called “the world’s best center-half.”
There’s no lack of control for those around him, with Henderson telling the Liverpool Echo: “For us, Virgil is a big star. Everybody gets it. He has made such a big difference while he’s been at the club.
“As a player, as a person and as a leader for everyone. I still do have no words to describe it. He gives the squad confidence and only gets stronger and better. A veritable king. He’s the best center-half in the world.”
