Birmingham City’s high-ranking midfielder Jude Bellingham is free to sign his first professional contract today in the wake of rumors linking him to Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund. The younger celebrates his 17th birthday today, suggesting he is now committing to a pro contract with Birmingham or any other interested party.
Bellingham was a regular member of the first team this season, making 37 starts in the Championship for the club at the age of just 16-including 34.
The Englishman ‘s performances have given rise to interest from United and Dortmund who both hope to snap the prospect up this summer.
The latest reports say Dortmund won the race for his contract, with Bellingham noticing the steps Jadon Sancho made at the German outfit during his decision to pick them up over a move to Old Trafford. The contract is thought to be worth an estimated £15 million, but with add-ons and rewards that could grow to nearly £ 25 million.
To date, Bellingham has scored four goals and created three more in his 34 Championship appearances.
