Leeds United has reportedly made a formal offer this summer to sign Jordan Lukaku from Lazio.
Last month, the Italian media outlet Il Messaggero announced that Leeds had asked about five Lazio players and that one of them was the Belgian. The Daily Mail reported the 26-year-old is keen to play in the Premier League, and prospective candidates are not missing.
The defender wishes to move away from Lazio to improve his chances of joining the Belgian squad for the European Championships next summer.
Il Messaggero has now stated that for a player who has been dealing with injuries in recent years Leeds has made an official bid in the region of €5 m.
The Yorkshire club could face competition from rivals from Brighton, who have submitted a similar offer.
Lukaku is a fantastic player and if Leeds could get this on a contract, it would be a nice addition.
At the same time, if they did make a pass, it would probably be a major game for the Whites.
