Marcos Rojo ‘s agent Jonathan Barnett confirmed that it is unlikely that the Argentinean will remain in Manchester United after this summer after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was obviously on camera seeking a possible replacement.
Amid Bournemouth’s 5-2 thrashing of his club on the weekend, the United boss decided to offer advice to Cherries defender Nathan Ake in a few telling words.
Though BT Sport had interpreted his comment as “good luck. From your center-backs, you need some luck. Just keep going, “others argued that something entirely different had been said to Ake.
When asked about the possibility of a summer sale agent Barnett of the player remarked to Stretty News: “We need a center-back left-foot, keep going,” was the alternate message gleaned from the full-time clip; and in any case, the future of Rojo at Old Trafford seems likely to come to an end. I couldn’t speculate about what Solskjaer thinks but I think it’s evident, I think with Rojo, possibly [a move]’s more than likely somewhere else.”
The loan return to the boyhood club Estudiantes by Argentina International in January was disrupted first by injury and then by the coronavirus pandemic, which halted the screaming of football in Argentina in March.
Rojo made only one appearance for the Pincha in 2020, and with no definite date yet set for Argentine football’s return, he opted to remain in La Plata after his loan contract expired on June 30 and is keen to continue in the longer term-although Estudiantes are not the only interested party.
