Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski has confirmed he will sign a new deal ‘in the next couple of days’ and plans to compete for the Scudetto in 2020-21.
Poland International has praised coach Gennaro Gattuso ahead of the match against the coach’s former club Milan and says he is preparing with the Partenopei.
Zielinski told Sky Sport Italia (via Football Italia) he is a tough guy. He said: “Gattuso’s charisma is high, just as it was when he played. We have been talking for a while and I expect the announcement to appear in the next few days. I feel good here and I want to keep going at Napoli.”
He has scored two goals so far, and three assists this term and hopes to be back in next season’s battle for the Scudetto with Napoli on the rise under Gattuso.
“Yeah, we have a very strong squad, even though we must see who is going to live here. But new players are coming and we’ll keep on being solid.”
