After the Serie A 15th round match against Udinese, Juventus head coach Andrea Pirlo spoke out.
“It wasn’t the best for Juventus as we approached the match after a frustrating loss to Fiorentina (0-3). Therefore, very timidly and nervously, we started the match, especially when their forwards ran straight at us. We became more optimistic as the game progressed,” Pirlo told DAZN.
“Dybala is needed, and he needs us. In training, he performed very well throughout the week. You may claim that today he was in the best physical condition. Until the end, we kept him on the pitch because we hoped that he would score.
Because we were still scared after the defeat against Fiorentina, I was not satisfied with the start of the game. We knew Udinese was going to be on the defensive, counterattacking and waiting for our mistakes, but we coped well.”
