Thomas Tuchel has reported open talks with Tammy Abraham about his role at Chelsea, meaning that he has a role to play at the club. Since Tuchel took over as Chelsea’s new boss, the 23-year-old has been on the fringe of first-team play, featuring in only 123 minutes of Premier League action in the last two months.
Tuchel, on the other hand, has stated that he has spoken with Abraham about his lack of attendance in recent months and has informed him that he is a “member of the party.”
“We had some discussions to persuade him to never give up, to embrace the situation, to not overthink it, and to simply return to the situation where the striker must not overthink it,” Tuchel said in his most recent press conference, as reported by the Mirror.
“He has to be in the flow because if the team wins without him, you might feel a little left out. But it’s not like this for him, but maybe he can be back now, back in the team, and completely free because there are some difficult decisions to be made. After all, he’s a member of the community.”
