The German giants have been chasing the 24-year-old ‘s signature since last year but putting their pursuit on hold at the start of the season when he suffered a cruciate ligament rupture.

Sane hasn’t been featured for the reigning Premier League title holders since last August’s Community Shield win over Liverpool but is available for selection again and was on the bench for the midweek 3-0 win over Arsenal.

This week Pep Guardiola reported that Germany international wants to leave the club in the immediate future and has declined an offer to extend its deal, which expires in the summer of 2021.
