Former Dinamo Zagreb coach is close to TRT SPORT rumors by Fenerbahce Turkey that former Dinamo Zagreb coach Nenad Bjelica is close to taking over Fenerbahçe.
The Croatian professional football supervisor and former player who was the head of Croatian First Football League team Dinamo Zagreb most recently, Bjelica led Dinamo after four years in his first match in the UEFA Champions League on 18 September 2019 and won 4–0 against Atalanta. On 16 April 2020 the club announced the termination of the contract with Bjelica following the dismissal of the entire coaching staff.
This is the most significant confirmation so far that has emerged in the Turkish media in recent days following news of Turkey’s interest in the former Dinamo coach.
Turkey’s most important acknowledgment came. “Fenerbahce has made Bjelica a verbal bid. The members of the club are constantly on the phone with a Croatian expert. Bjelica claims that the conditions provided are acceptable and he will accept them,” writes the well-known Turkish sports journalist Yagiz Sabuncoglu, who specializes in events around this club in Istanbul.
According to the Turks, Bjelica is the key contender for first coaching the club.
“A board meeting is expected soon. If this occurs, the final decision will be taken as soon as possible and then announced officially.”
