Gareth Bale failed to travel to China last year, leading to Toni Kroos asking if the Welshman is still “a little crazy” about what happened.

Toni Kroos recognizes Gareth Bale ‘s marginal position at Real Madrid is “unsatisfactory for anyone”.

Wales winger Bale made only 16 LaLiga appearances, with just 12 starts, and scored twice as Madrid claimed the championship this season, breaking Barcelona’s recent streak of supremacy in Spain.

The 31-year-old was fit for most of the campaign but fell out of favor with head coach Zinedine Zidane.

Bale ‘s lawyer, Jonathan Barnett, insists his client-once the world’s most expensive player is not trying to leave Madrid, but his prospects of a return to the first XI seem small.

The former Tottenham player almost left for the Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning last year, and team-mate Kroos wonders if he is “maybe a little crazy” the deal fell through.

“There’s no way around it. The situation is unsatisfactory for everybody,” Kroos told the Lauschangriff podcast.

“He wasn’t put in to play as little as he does now. I assume that he decided to leave last summer in theory and that the club accepted at first and then said no. I don’t know if he’s still a little crazy about that. It’s a complicated subject. It’s as serious as is said [in the media]. Everything is okay with the team. I’ve known him for six years, and we’ve accomplished some pretty big stuff together.”
