According to a source, contract talks with Harry Kane and Son Heung-min were put on hold by Tottenham Hotspur. The attacking pair have been in sensational shape for the Spurs this season, scoring and assisting a combined 38 Premier League goals in 16 matches.
Son has two-and-a-half years to go on his existing deal, while Kane is under contract until 2024. Spurs were said to be keen to tie both players down to new contracts to put their wages in line with the division’s other high earners.
However, the Evening Standard reports that all non-urgent contract talks have been put on hold by Tottenham while the club’s financial future remains unclear.
