Victor Osimhen will sign for Napoli over the next 48 hours, sources tell Football Italia, as the matter has always been with his lawyer, who now threatens to sue the Lille striker.
Various sources such as L’Equipe say that today and tomorrow there will be final talks in Sardinia to secure the contract, worth about €81 million.
The Corriere Dello Sport says it will be €50 m in cash plus full-back Adam Ounas to cover the gap. Sources near Osimhen confirm the problem that prompted him to turn Napoli down last week was smoothed by a new intermediary ‘s arrival with his entourage.
Now the same sources confirm – as also confirmed by RAI Sport and CalcioNapoli24 – that the previous agent was attempting to secure additional incentives for himself rather than concentrating on the best offer for the player. The agent will be fired, and will now sue Osimhen.
Radio Punto Nuovo also says Osimhen has entered talks on Lille President Gerard Lopez’s yacht off the coast of Sardinia.
According to all accounts, he’ll have his medical with Napoli on Thursday.
