Morocco’s international Oussama Idrissi was loaned by Seville to Eredivisie giants Ajax Amsterdam, without an option to purchase.
Following the failure of the winger to get consistent playing time under manager Julen Lopetegui, the move to the Johan Cruyff Arena was inevitable thanks to a brilliant outing with AZ Alkmaar in 2020, joining the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan outfit.
Idrissi has only won three Spanish top-flight games in the current season, all as substitutes.
He is expected to rediscover his noteworthy form at Ajax that saw Sevilla hand him a five-year contract.
“Sevilla FC and Ajax Amsterdam have concluded a loan transfer agreement with Oussama Idrissi for the rest of the season, without the option of purchase,” read a statement from the Spanish top-flight squad.
The Moroccan winger, born in the Netherlands, joined the Summer Transfer Market Club and returned to his country of birth in search of more minutes after playing three La Liga matches, three Champions League matches and four Copa del Rey matches in Seville, where he gave two assists.
“Sevilla FC would like to thank Idrissi for his dedication and professionalism and wish him the very best in Amsterdam for the rest of the season.”
The 24-year-old is eager to join the Sons of the Gods as he expresses his excitement to be a member of the ‘good squad’ of Erik ten Hag.
