Tottenham, the Premier League side, is considering a move in January for Real Madrid defender Eder Militao. With the inexperienced duo Joe Rodon and Japhet Tanganga his current back up options, Spurs manager Jose Mourinho has suggested he is looking to strengthen his defense in the coming weeks.
Mourinho is now targeting Brazilian international Militao as a potential option for the second half of the campaign, according to reports in the Daily Mail.
Since his move from Porto in 2019, with 10 La Liga starts last season and no first-team action since October 31, Militao has struggled to nail down a regular starting spot with Zinedine Zidane’s team.
With Nacho Fernandez remaining as Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane’s first reserve, Militao’s opportunities in the capital of Spain are likely to remain limited.
After paying £ 39m for him less than 18 months ago, Los Blancos are set to demand from Spurs for the 22-year old in the region of £ 30m.
