Felipe Melo hit Georgio Chiellini again following the criticism of the Juventus star in his latest book. In his biography, the Italian hit out at Melo and Mario Balotelli, saying that the former Inter midfielder was “the worst of the worst” while calling him a “red apple” and “disrespectful.”
Melo, in effect, replied saying that when the two met, Chiellini “p*ssed himself with terror.”
Balotelli, who Chiellini called a “bad guy,” has since buried the hatchet with his former Italian team-mate after the two on Italian television talked out the issue.
But Melo is in no hurry to end his conflict with the Juventus star as he announced several years ago that the root of their issue with each other is a headbutt.
Reason Why Chellini Is Upset With Melo
“He’s just having an issue with me, because when we played against Siena, I headbutted him,” Melo said live on Instagram.
“Chiellini never excused me, but that’s good, as long as he takes responsibility for what he said. He was simply stirring up this controversy to sell his book.”
Melo also opened up on his move from Galatasaray to Inter, revealing that joining the Italian side was a fantasy despite having previously represented Juventus and Fiorentina in Serie A.
“Since childhood, inter had been my dream,” he said. “I made history at Galatasaray and it was too comfortable for me to stay there because I was an idol for those fans. I ‘d just signed a new three-year deal but went to Inter, taking a 50% pay cut, a heartfelt decision. When I was at Fiorentina, Jose Mourinho and others had already tried to get me to Inter but sadly I went to Juve. I never talked poorly of Juve but it was the absolute thrill for me to walk out at San Siro in the Milan derby wearing the Inter jersey.”
