Morocco progressed to their first World Cup quarter-final after a shootout win over Spain. Find the Morocco World Cup Ratings below. They established a strong defensive position in their own zone and actively sought out opportunities to quickly exit; this strategy was fruitful. There weren’t many opportunities for Sofiane Boufal to humiliate Marcos Llorente despite her twinkle-toes down the left. The best of the half-chances were wasted by Nayef Aguero, who failed to perform better than he would have anticipated. Spain, on the other hand, was not exactly getting its way. Yassine Bounou, the goalkeeper for Morocco, who was insistent on playing out from the back when he really shouldn’t have been, actually proved to be their most inventive outlet.

Morocco player ratings (4-3-3)

GK: Yassine Bounou – 7/10 – His feet had a few jittery moments, but his hands were terrific.

RB: Achraf Hakimi – 8/10 – His teammates couldn’t match his quality, and it was obvious.

CB: Nayef Aguerd – 710 – First-half opportunity to start the scoring should have been better handled, but the defense was excellent.

CB: Romain Saiss – 7/10 – Excellently led the Moroccan defense.

LB: Noussair Mazraoui – 6/10 – Ably assisted the intriguing Boufal on the left.

CM: Azzedine Ounahi – 6/10 – Although a respectable showing, the Moroccan midfielder was probably the least effective.

CM: Sofyan Amrabat – 8/10 – He played a crucial role in limiting Spain’s normal midfield domination.

CM: Selim Amallah – 7/10 – Amrabat’s ally in destruction.

RF: Hakim Ziyech – 6/10 – Usually annoying but always a danger.

CF: Youssef En-Nesyri – 6/10 – There were no serious chances today.

LF: Sofiane Boufal – 7/10 – While entertaining to watch and a continual danger, the final product could have been stronger. Shame at having to leave due to injury.

SUB: Abde Ezzalzouli (66′ for Boufal) – 6/10.

SUB: Badr Benoun (120′ for Ounahi) – N/A.

Walid Regragui – 7/10 – You’d have to say that he prepared his troops properly for the day.
