RB: Diogo Dalot – 5/10 – Fought valiantly but today lacked quality. injured late and replaced.
CB: Pepe – 5/10 – Portugal’s defense of counterattacks appeared shaky, but that wasn’t because of Pepe or his tenacious willingness.
CB: Ruben Dias – 4/10 – Weak in the contest, losing to En-Nesyri at a crucial time.
LB: Raphael Guerreiro – 4/10 – The run of En-Nesyri was lost due to loose touches farther up the field. Just after the break, hooked.
CM: Ruben Neves – 5/10 – Was quite alert since Morocco wanted to sit in and have a break. He was unable to pick the lock properly.
CM: Otavio – 5/10 – Had less leeway than he had against Switzerland to advance through the defense.
CM: Bernardo Silva – 4/10 – Refused to acknowledge ownership and offered little to nothing of importance.
RW: Bruno Fernandes – 5/10 – Gave Portugal everything he had, but his zealous crosses, passes, and shots were off-time.
CF: Goncalo Ramos – 5/10 – Much more subdued than his thunderous performance against Switzerland. The way the ball stuck to him wasn’t exactly the same.
LW: Joao Felix – 6/10 – The man was frequently on the receiving end of Portugal’s early opportunities, but was typically limited to long-range efforts.
Cristiano Ronaldo (51′ for Neves) – 4/10 – Obtaining respectable positions, but not enough recognition. He fluffed his lines when he eventually found some room.
