Although Harry Kane is a “complete player” speculated Manchester United target, Dwight Yorke believes that the club ‘s current first-choice forward Anthony Martial can serve as its permanent No.9.
The ex-United marksman informed Talksport: “Martial’s hat-trick last night and the way he scored the three goals indicates that he’s an experienced finisher.”
“They are still linked to quality players and in terms of No.9, Harry Kane is at the top of the tree, he’s a full player-but what we ‘ve noticed is that United has invested a lot in young players and No.9 is a difficult position to play, it’s a specialist position, that’s what Ally McCoist can vouch for.”
“And if anyone like Harry Kane wants to join our football team, that can only be a huge bonus, but at the moment we have a lot of talent in the youth squad and they just need more opportunities to play.”
Yorke continued: “You must play week-in, week-out there to be a No.9; not a week on the left, but on the right, and then you’re back in the center.”
